Charity quotas are limited. Applications will be processed and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis according to submission time. APF reserves the right to make the final decision.
2. Selection Notification & Reservation Fee Payment
Selected applicants are required to pay the reservation fee within 48 hours after receiving a “Pending Confirmation” email.
Payment of the reservation fee does not guarantee a charity race place. Selected applicants must achieve the minimum fundraising requirement within the specified timeframe in order to qualify as an APF Charity Runner and proceed with the official race registration process.
Note
- The reservation fee is non-refundable, will not be counted towards the minimum fundraising target, and is not eligible for a tax-deductible donation receipt.
- Applicants who fail to make payment within the specified timeframe will be deemed to have forfeited their place, and the quota may be offered to an applicant on the waiting list.
3. Receive Fundraising Link
Upon confirmation of the reservation fee payment, APF will provide a fundraising link via email within 3 to 5 working days.
4. Achieve the Minimum Fundraising Target
Selected applicants must achieve the minimum fundraising target for their chosen race category within 14 days* of receiving the fundraising link in order to confirm their eligibility as an APF Charity Runner.
*For selected applicants who receive the fundraising link on or after 16 October 2026, the 14-day fundraising period will not apply and the minimum fundraising target must still be achieved by 30 October 2026.
Applicants are encouraged to achieve the minimum fundraising target as early as possible in order to be officially confirmed as an APF Charity Runner.
Note
- APF reserves the right to cancel an application and reallocate the quota to an applicant on the waiting list if the minimum fundraising target is not achieved within the specified timeframe.
- All reservation fees and donations made are non-refundable.
5. Confirmation as an APF Charity Runner
Upon achieving the minimum fundraising target, APF will officially confirm the selected applicant as an APF Charity Runner and arrange the official registration process for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon.
Important Notes
- Charity quotas are limited and subject to availability. If all quotas have been allocated, applications will be placed on the waiting list.
- Runners must ensure that they are in suitable physical condition to participate in the race. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor before registering.
