Starting from 2016, Autism Partnership Foundation (APF) will provide a month of intensive Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Treatment for free to children with Autism from low income families. In Hong Kong, parents who are unable to afford private services are often required to wait for long periods of time before receiving government or subsidised services. APF will be bridging this gap by offering this critical service. This service of over 60 hours of direct intervention also includes parent education, providing training for parents so they can continue teaching their children when the service has ended.
This program is unique and the very first of its kind in Hong Kong. Currently, ABA therapy is only provided by private practices and is very expensive. APF will be helping low income families access these services when their children most need them.
In order to make full use of the resources, the Autism Partnership Foundation (APF) will make the following adjustments to our one month of intensive Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Treatment effective from 9 May, 2018:
1. Meeting between therapist and parents
2. Reservation fees
3. Service charge

Children will receive a month of intensive 1:1 ABA treatment from our professionally trained therapists. These therapists will also be overseen and supervised by a behavioral analyst superviser. In addition, consultants from Autism Partnership Hong Kong and Aoi Pui School will also provide free consultations to the APF therapy team to ensure the best results.
Curriculum will be highly individualised, from increasing spontaneous language, cooperation and attention to reducing behaviour problems, and from enhancing cognition and language skills to play and social skills.
On completion, parents will also be given a comprehensive list of objectives that their children can continue to work on in the coming months.
In addition to providing treatment for children, we will be working closely with each family to ensure effective teaching will be carried onwards when the children complete the program. We will achieve this through parent seminars and participation in our treatment sessions. Parents will be encouraged to work directly with their children in some of the sessions where guidance and direction will be provided from AP therapists.
This program is solely designed for low income families with children with autism.
