The sound of children crying or hair cutting would scare him off from the place, therein he had never succeeded to have a haircut at a salon. After Kwan received Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) treatment for a month, he finally went to a hair salon for a haircut! Kwan\u2019s mother shared the story of her son with us:<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f39d50f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f39d50f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cThe treatment was effective. Kwan\u00a0has shown his patience towards children\u2019s crying. He tried to control his emotions by pinching himself, and wouldn\u2019t escape from the sound as he used to. He could finally have a haircut at a salon.<\/p><p>Kwan was self-centred and impulsive\u00a0before.\u00a0He always took the\u00a0items he wanted without asking. I was annoyed and wondered why he couldn\u2019t ask\u00a0for permission like other children. It\u2019s truly surprising that he\u00a0is now\u00a0able to ask\u00a0for permission in a polite way.<\/p><p>ABA treatment is advantageous to improve children\u2019s\u00a0communication, behaviour and emotional control. In contrast, other treatments would rather focus on training gross and fine motor skills, but not attentive to children\u2019s weaknesses, behavioural\u00a0and emotional problems.\u00a0I\u2019m delighted that people spotted and praised the improvements of Kwan.
